Man, I’m off my P90X routine and it is killing me. I haven’t done a proper workout since Wednesday of last week (though I did play a solid hour of Ultimate Frisbee on Saturday) and I am having difficult time motivating myself to get moving.
I’ve an epic excuse: I did the Shakeology three-day cleanse on Thursday-Friday-Saturday and, even with added fruit and the permitted chicken salad every day, my energy was down. My body has been used to a pretty significant amount of calories with the P90X diet, and the Shakeology cleanse (three Shakeology shakes a day for three days, with aforementioned fruit and a chicken salad if you’re still hungry) left me wanting. So I slacked off and skipped my P90X workouts in favor of napping or loafing.
I DID lose 5.7 pounds in three days. It was amazingly satisfying to see the Wii Fit downgrade me from Obese to Overweight for the first time ever, and I’ve finally started to notice my T-shirts and jeans fitting me differently.
FORWARD TO NOW
Well, I haven’t done a workout in several days. I tried to get excited about doing one this evening and I just couldn’t get on with it. I’m having some minor stomach-related issues, but I’m not going to lie and say that I definitely would’ve done the workout had my stomach been 100%.
It’s really tough for me to break this inertia, but I know, like the almost decade-long inertia that I broke when I started P90X, that it’s possible. I’m pretty stubborn, though. I’ll do it…tomorrow.
